Spring/Summer Wardrobe Checklist

Our wardrobes should be 80% basics and 20% trends or fast fashion. You need to create a capsule wardrobe of neutral basics then you can layer fun colors on top and always have something to wear without the stress of standing at your closet wondering what you are going to wear for the day. Before you purchase anything, shop your closet. You may find that you have everything you need without buying a piece of clothing. Below is picture of the checklist if you would like to print off. It will also be under the YouTube Resources tab. Thrifting is the best way to fill in the gaps for the pieces you need but for those that do not have the time to thrift I am providing links from Amazon by clicking on the item (*affiliate links) for your convenience. For tops, I recommend having a white button down, a white cotton top or blouse , a white silky elegant blouse, black and white short sleeve tees, black and white tanks, a printed or solid colored blouses and 1 lightweight cardigan.

For Dresses and skirts, I recommend a white and black dress, a printed or solid summer dress, a midi length black skirt, a maxi length black skirt, a midi length white/off white skirt, a maxi white/off white skirt, optional is a denim skirt and a walking/workout skirt.

For Outwear and Bags, I recommend a black blazer, a white jacket or blazer, a denim blazer, optional is a leather (real or faux), a brown/black/neutral cross-body or shoulder bag and a black/brown/neutral tote bag

For Shoes and Sandals, I recommend black, nude flats mules or loafers, black or nude pumps, statement heels/flats, nude or metallic sandals, black sandals, comfortable neutral color walking shoes, rain boots (optional).)

For Accessories, I recommend a silky/dressy scarf, a statement accessory (broach/scarf), black and brown sunglasses and a reversible belt.

Lastly for undergarments, I recommend a black and nude underwire or support bra, black and nude half slip, optional is shapewear and tights or hose.
